WELLINGTON, Oct. 4., Strong objection to subsidies being taken from the Primary Industries Account to keep down the prices of food and clothing on the local market was voiced in a remit adopted by the conference of Federated Farmers to-day. The conference also opposed any suggestion of taking subsidies out of the Meat Pool Account.
