COUNTY QUEEN
MEETING AT EIFFELTON There was an excellent representation of returned servicemen of the Ashburton Riding at the recent meeting of the R.S.A., held in the Eiffelton Hall. Mr R. J. Chapman was elected chairman with Mr C. P. Lill as secretary. The main business Avas to consider matters in connection Avitli the County Queen condidature. It Avas decided to hold a concert and dance in the Eiffelton Hall on October 11. Later a district canvass l'or funds will be made. The following committee Avas appointed to act Avitli the chairman and secretary, with power to add: Messrs ,J. Cocks, W. Mac Kay, A. Lovett, J. Parsons, G. McQuilkin, J. Small, h Read, T. L. Read, G. Dawson, R. Cock*, C. G. Davison, M. Johnstone and N. Stoddart.
