SOVIET MAKING A BID PEKING, September 5. “Russia is bidding for the con> trol of all China,” said Mr Robert Sikes, chairman of the military affairs group of the U.S.A. House of Representatives inspecting Pacific areas. “If Russia is successful America can prepare to move from the Orient entirely. American interest in world peace forbids acquiescence.”
