GENERAL ELECTION
NATIONAL CANDIDATE FOR NAPIER (P.A.) NAPIER, August 29. Mr Allan John Price has been selected as the National Party candidate for the Napier seat. Mr Price, who is 27 years of age, Was born and educated at Napiei’. He served in the Royal New Zealand Air Force for five years overseas and rose to .the rank of wing commander. MOUNT VICTORIA SEAT (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 29. Mr J. R. Marshall was to-night selected as the National Party candidate for the new Mount Victoria seat. There were two other nominees. Mr T. C. A. Ilislop withdrew before the ballot for business reasons. Mr Marshall is in a law practice. During the war he rose to the rank of major in the Army.
