ITALIAN PARTISANS LEAVE HILLS
RESORT TO LEGAL MEANS (Rec. 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 28. The national committee of Italian partisans appealed to members in the restive northern areas to lay down their arms and seek their rights by legal means, says the Rome correspondent of the Associated Press. As suit the partisans at Asti came down from the-hills and were welcomed by the townspeople. Unrest continues elsewhere. The partisans claim (1) that members should be incorporated in the police; (2) that the Government should grant an amnesty to partisans imprisoned for common crimes; (3) that neo-Fascists should be -suppressed. *
