STRANGE ANIMALS
HUNTER KILLS TWO (Rec. 12.30) BRISBANE, This Day. A hunter shot two strange puma-like animals 18 miles from Maryborough, Queensland, where last month another hunter killed the “Yengarie lion.” The lion was found to be a cross between a dog and a dingo. Hundreds of people who inspected the pelts of the recently-killed animals could not identify them. The skins appear to be those of baby pumas and are totally unlike those of a dog or dingo. The hunter said he saw eight animals moving in a group. He shot one pup or kitten, and the others scattered. When he was skinning it another returned and snarled at him. He shot that one also.
