ST/ JAMES THEATRE It is not often a famous author’s life becomes the subject for a motion picture, but “Jack London,” showing finally to-night at the St-. James Theatre, is an exception, and little wonder, as the great adventurer’s life story 7 is more packed with exciting incidents than liis own books are, and they 7 are well known for. that quality. The story 7 of the picture follows London from his early boyhood adventures through many lands and through many a tough assignment, making very 7 interesting and exciting entertainment as it goes. Michael O’Shea and Susan Hayward are the stars, portraying Jack 'London and his pretty and loyal wife. A comedy, “Unusual Occupations,’’ and a Metro newsreel, are also showing. Thursday and Friday “Demobbed,” which is claimed to be the funniest comedy to leave England, and “Black Parachute,” a drama ol' the Balkan guerillas, will be the attractions at the St. James Theatre on Thursday and Friday -afternoons and nights. “Demobbed” is the story of four crazy 7 privates just discharged from the Army 7 and directed to jobs. In the cast is a big number of England’s topmost comedians.
