COAL DISTRIBUTION
HOPES PLACED IN NEW PLAN (Rec. 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Miners’ Federation officials and Senator W. P. Asliley, Minister of Supply, have agreed to the formation of a coal distribution committee of trade union representatives to assist the Coal Commissioner, Mr H. Williams. Union officials say that a committee of three will check the distribution of coal from the pithead and will ensure that all industries secure an equitable amount. They express the hope that the new arrangement, in conjunction with the appeal by unions to miners for an increased output, Avill enable the removal of restrictions on railway and other essential services.
