U.S. AIRMAIL RATE
FLAT CHARGE TO OPERATE (Rec. 10.35) WASHINGTON, Aug. 25. A flat overseas airmail rate of 10 cents per half ounce will be introduced by the United States on October 1, simultaneously with a new five cents internal airmail rate. The assistant Postmaster-General, Mr G. K. Sullivan, predicted a maximum airmail delivery time of 40 hours to any point in the world within five years.
