New P. and O. Liners —The largest vessel ever to fly the P. and O. flag at present is being constructed for the Britain, India and Australia, run, says Lloyd’s. The vessel, which is to be named Himalaya, will be of 29,000 tons and carry nearly 1200 passengers. She will have a speed of more than 23 knots, a cargo space of 260,000 cubic feet general and 235,000 refrigerated. The P. and O. is also constructing a 24,000 ship for the Far East service.
