FEARS DISPELLED
NO FAMINE NEXT WINTER WASHINGTON, August 22. Mr B. Anderson, Price Administrator, in a speech, said the world’s food harvests were dispelling fears of another famine emergency next winter. Cereal surplus will be about sufficient to meet the requirements of 22,000,000 tons of wheat and 4,000,000 tons of other grains until the 1947 harvest.
