PROSPECTS FOR TO-MORROW (By “Durbar”) I The N.Z. Metropolitan Trotting j Club will open its National meeting to- | morrow at Addington. As it is two or | more months since light harness horses had an outing, except at the matinee meeting, form is missing. Ail ©vents are of a handy size, and some fast times and good finishes should be witnessed. Turco, until the last few days has been the ruling favourite for the Winter Cup, but has developed some hock trouble, and this may lose him many supporters. Lucky Loyal, Warform and Double Peter are the next choices in the absence of Turco. In the Canterbury Stakes, Darkie Grattan will be first pick, but On Approval, Free Fight, and the grey pacer Snowflake, who was disqualified at her only start, will carry heavy support. The Free-for-All has everyone guessing, but the speed merchant, Gold Bar, should set a merry pace. Happy Man, Bulldozer, Double Peter and In the Mood Avill have their respective followings.
