BULLDOG PUP FOR £250
AUSTRALIAN PURCHASE SYDNEY, August 22. Ranking third on the list of expensive dogs imported to Australia, Maythorpe British Oak, nicknamed Beau, arrived here to-day from England. He is a bulldog pup, and cost his new owner, Miss C. Booth, of Randwick, £250. His brother was sold for £SOO in South Africa. . ' The highest pi’ice for an imported pedigree dog was 1200 guineas paid for an Aiiedale, champion Ilau Flyaway, in 1921. Nine years ago another bulldog was bought for £SOO.
