TROOPS FROM INDIA
DISPATCH TO SOUTH PERSIA (Rec. 1.0) NEW DELHI, August 2. It is officially, stated that troops are being sent from India to Basra to safeguard Anglo-Indian interests in South Persia should circumstances demand it. . There are many hundreds of Indians employed in the oilfields refineries- in South Persia. India is largely dependent on this source for vital supplies of petrol.
