Dingo Menace in Queensland. —Dingoes in northern and north-western Queensland have become so daring that they have visited the township of Torrens Creek in daylight and taken goats. There has been an alarming increase in the number of dingoes because of the absence of organised destruction during the war years and the influx from other states. Some dingoes are claimed to be of immense size as a result of crossing with Alsatians and English hounds which escaped from stations many years ago.
