PROFESSIONAL CONTEST KELLY BEATS BATY (P.A.) GISBORNE, August 1. Fighting his fiflh professional conf.est, Tom Baty, of Gisborne (9st 11b) was beaten by Percy Kelly, of Auckland (9st 111 b) on ft. technical knockout in the 12th and last round. Kelly wits unable to settle down, while. Baty kept making .the pace, but in the eighth Baty made the mistake ol sparring flat-footed. Kelly seized the opportunity to score heavily 1o Ihe head and body, and from that stage on wore his opponent down. Baty was down in the I2lh, hut got tip again quickly, though obviously unable to continue. The referee, Mr A. Heeney, gave a. technical knock-out victory to the Aucklander.
