BIG POWERS
DOMINATION DANGEROUS VIEWS OF DUTCH DELEGATE (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright.) (Rec. 1.15 p.m.) PARIS, August 1. .Big Power domination of inter- . national affairs was dangerous declared Baron van Boetzelaer (Holland). The victors must refrain from a policy of intimidation, selfishness and intolerance.
“The Great Powers as well as the small have sinned in this way, but results are more disastrous if the Great Powers are involved. Indeed, the present situation- is not very - reassuring. The way in which the Great Powers obtained a privileged place in the United Nations was not a good omen for the future development. The use they have made of it certainly has not dissipated these fears.” Baron von. Boetzelaer said uneasiness was increased by the procedure proposed for the Paris conference. He was opposed to the_ Great Powers dictating their will to'otliers, and giving themselves monopoly of wisdom in the international sphere.
M. Kardelj (Yugoslavia) told the conference that Yugoslavia would not accept a compromise solution of the Trieste problem. He declared that the French line abandoned large sections of the Yugoslav people to Italian oppression.
