In a Rugby Union match at North Sydney, Queensland overwhelmed the Southern States by 39 to 9, showing superiority in every department. The game resulted in a number of selections for the combined States team which will play New South Wales as a curtain-raiser to Australia versus The Rest game on Saturday. The Australian team to tour New Zealand will be chosen during the wqek-end, and will probably be announced on Monday night.
