Sleep is of tAvo kinds complete and incomplete. In the former, voluntary poAver over the muscles as Avell as over trains of thought are suspended; in the latter, one or more of the cerebral organs is l aAvake, and the suspension is not absolute. Protracted sleep and perpetual drowsiness fall inlo the former. In the oilier are included sleep-talking, dreaming, nightmares, etc.
