GENERAL ELECTION
INDIAN CENTRAL ASSEMBLY (Rec. 1.0 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 1. Reviewing the General Elections for the new Indian Central Legislative Assembly, the New Delhi radio says the Congress Party won 59.6 per cent, of the total votes cast in all constituencies through India. The Congress Party in non-Moslem constituencies won 91.6 per cent, of the total votes. The Moslem. League won -i.6 pei cent, of the total votes cast in all constituencies and 86.6 per cent, of the total' oast in Moslem constituencies. The Congress' Party won all the nonMoslem seats, and the Moslem League all the Moslem, seats. The final figures on the strength of the parties is Congree, 56, a gain of 36; Moslem League, 30, a gain of six. The new Assembly will, in addition, include 40 nominated members, -6 officials and 14 non-officials.
