GLENDINNING—On New Year’s Eve, 1945 (suddenly), at the residence of his niece, Mrs Robson, Ralclutha North, Private Thomas Scott, 47018 Ist N.Z.E.F., much loved uncle of Mrs Robson and son and loved brother of Isabel, Menzies’ Ferry, William, George Road, Walter and Lawson. Ashburton, and Christopher, Christchurch; in his 63rd year. Friends are invited to attend his funeral, leaving my Chapel, John Street, to-morrow (Thursday) at the conclusion of a service commencing at 2 p.m., for the Balclutha Cemetery.—W. Lovie. ■
TAIT —On January 1, 1946, at Timaru, Eileen Margaret, dearly loved wife of Walter Joseph Tait and only loving daughter of Mr and Mrs L. C. Robinson, 3 Newton Street, Timaru; aged 30 years.
