CARNIVAL DANCE

BUFFALO LODGE The Royal Antedeluvian Order of Buffaloes held a carnival dance in the Orange Hall on Saturday night. The hall was filled to capacity and about 200 couples, most of whom were in fancy dress (some very amusing), enjoyed dancing to music by Bros L. and R. Chapman, and extras by Mr M. Chapman. Much merriment was caused during the evening by those in fancy dress. ‘Prizes for fancy dress: were won by the following: Most original, Mrs G. Alexander and Mr J. H. Telfer; most humorous, Mrs J. Slatter and Bro. T. Childs; best enuDle, Mrs A. Weir hnd Bro. M. Clelland. A Monte Carlo was won by Miss M. Thomas and Mr S. E. Nedlie. A competition was won by Mrs G. Gale. Ice cream, soft drinks and supper were provided. Bro. J. Slatter was master of ceremonies.
