The new Bulgarian Assembly, at its opening session to-day, elected as President Vassil Kolarov, the Communist leader, who recently returned to Sofia from Moscow, reports Reuter’S. Deputies took the new oath—in the name of the people. The Royal address nowhere mentioned the King. While the Assembly was meeting, crowds gathered outside and continuously shouted “We want a Republic!” One of the three Regents present promised that the new Parliament would urgently consider adjustment of the Constitution to democratic reforms since liberation, and would make every effort to, improve relations with Britain and Amerisca.
