Somers colliery within the past few days, which promises to make a revolution in the supply of coal in this country. The seam is at a deeper level that the old workings. Russell Wells, medical superintendent of the County Hospital, was granted an extension of annual leave by the Ashburton Hospital Board this morning, owing to his indisposition.
