HAMPSTEAD SEWERAGE REQUISITION, £4,200. \ PPLICATION lias been made by the Council to the Board of Health for authority to raise a Loa,n to expend the sum of £4,200 for the purpose of ’repairing the Hampstead Sewerage Scheme. Any Ratepayer desiring to object to the expending of this sum on such a scheme, is required to do so in writing to the undersigned on or before Tuesday, 11th December, 1945. All objections received will be forwarded to the Board of Health. A plan of the proposed sewerage scheme may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Municipal Chambers. R. C. MAJOR. Town Clerk. HEALTH STAMPS. A S supplies of Health Stamps in N.Z. are nearly exhausted, instructions have been given to the Postmaster at Ashburton to return unsold stamps to Christchurch immediately. The Ashburton Health Camp Committee has requested that present stocks amounting to about £35 be left in Ashburton Post Office until the end of this week. As this will be the last opportunity of raising funds in this district by the sale of Health Stamps, an appeal is made to business houses and the public generally to.assist our effort by purchasing the remainder of the stocks in Ashburton before the end of this week.
