RED CROSS.

TINWALD SUB-BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Tinwald Sub-Branch of the Red Cross Society met in the Parish Hall on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs W. Hopwood presided over a good attendance. Prayers of thanksgiving were offered. It was decided to visit a sick returned prisoner of war in hospital. A suggestion by Mrs Cornish (Commandant of the Tinwald Voluntary Aid Detachment) that she give a talk on some of the subjects in which she has passed her final examination was received. This was arranged for the next meeting in September. Members of the Women’,s Institute were invited to attend the meeting.

An interesting report on the Centre delegates’ meeting was gfven by Mrs Sewell.

Garments, pullovers and scarves were handed in.

Afternoon tea was provided by the Women’s Institute.
