FORMAL TERMINATION. WASHINGTON, Aug. 20. President Truman is expected formally to announce the termination ol lend-leaso, to-morrow. Straight, lendlease will be stopped immediately. Requisitions on which contracts have been placed bv Hie United States will be tilled. For those countries which made special agreements tor continuing supplies on a credit basis two months will lie granted during which the countries concerned may request, additional supplies, providing they pay for them. American officials said that the termination of lend-loa.se must be followed by quick moves 1o make credit available for foreign purchases through the Export and Import, Bank to avoid economic disturbances consequent on the political unrest in Europe.
