MAN RUNS AMOK
FOURTEEN PEOPLE KILLED. SHOT AT POINT BLANK RANGE BLOODSHED AT ROUEN (N.Z. Press Association —Copyright.) (Rec. 11.45 a. m.) LONDON, June 11. A homicidal maniac, running amok at Rouen since yesterday, killed 14, including two policemen and wounded nine, says the Paris radio. Tiie maniac, who was armed with a rifle and was drunk, first attempted to strangle a girl, lie then shot dead at point blank range several people he encountered in the streets. Gendarmes and a mobile brigade of French tirail leurs are taking part in the hunt for the madman.
