GERMAN LEADER APPOINTED. (Rec. 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 31. A well-known Catholic, Yaman Freidricli Schaffer, head of the Bavarian People’s Party before Hitler came to power, lias temporarily been appointed resident Minister in Bavaria. The appointment follows the Military Government’s policy of placing in office wherever possible Germans of unquestioned integrity.
