EVACUATION DEMANDED (Rec. 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 30. The Persian Foreign Minister told Parliament that a note had been delivered to the British, American and Russian Embassies in Teheran demanding the evacuation of their countries’ troops from Persia now that hostilities in Europe have ended, states Reuter's Teheran correspondent. ...
The note added: “It will be necessary to restore the normal situation. (British and Russian troops entered Persia in 1941 after a warning to the Shah about the infiltration of German spies and the Americans entered in 1942 after the Western Allies’ decision to supply Russia through Persia).
