SCOTTISH DANCING.

SUCCESSFUL FIXTURE. COMPETITIONS AT ASHBURTON. The dancing-competitions for local competitors held by the Ashburton • Scottish Society in the Radiant Hall last evening were most successful, being marked by&ajiigh standard of dancing. Entries-were good. There was v,a'. . large attendance of parents and friends. Pipers were Messrs G. Robertson fund D. Wilson. The judge was Mrs Mowat, of Staveley (formerly Miss A. Agnew, of Dunedin) who congratulated the competitors and talked on the positions and faults in the dancing. The winners of each class will dance '''at the next Ingleside on June 19.
