FIFTY YEARS SYNE. (SVom the “Guardian,” June 19, 1894.) Skating.—The half-mile handicap skating race at rink last night was won by A. Penn, with 41 laps’ start, in 2min 55sec. E. Healey was second and H. Hault third. The winner received a pair of Henley’s silver-plated skates. TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO. (From the “Guardian,” June 19, 1919.) Amos) states that all classes, with the exception of the field roots classes, have filled well. The falling-off in the latter was due to the exceptionally dry weather.
