Mr R. Penticost, of 22G Yaldhurst Road, Christchurch, a. horse trainer, aged 2S, was admitted to the Ashburton Public Hospital last evening, suffering from concussion. His condition is reported to he satisfactory. A jockey named Nelson, who was thrown from his mount in the first race at Ashburton to-day, was admitted to the Public Hospital suffering from concussion.
