FIFTY YEARS SYNE. (From the “Guardian,” April. 1, 1594). Harvest Festival at. St. Stephen’s— Harvest, festival services were held in S(. Stephen’s Church on Sunday. There was a fair congregation in the morning and in the evening the church was crowded. Mrs Claridge presided at the organ, special music being given. Miss: Esther Gates and the Rev. T. A. Hamilton were soloists. TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO. (From the “Guardian,” April 1, 1919). Methven Show. —The secretary (Mr J. F. Stone) reports that all arrangements are complete for the Bth annual Agricultural and Pastoral Show at Methven to-morrow. Special train arrangements have been made, and the Eighth (South Canterbury) Band will be in attendance.
