NATIONAL SAVINGS.

FEW INVESTMENTS THIS WEEK. At 9 o’clock this .morning only £l9l (including £SO brought forward from last week) had been invested in National War Savings, and if the weekly quota of £705 is to reached by midday to-morrow some/ large amounts will have to be paid in. The National Savings Committee appeals to any firm or individual who has money lying idle to invest it immediately in this form of short-tei;m war loan. The Committee emphasises that there should be no slackening of our war effort just now, as our own soldiers are fighting hard among the ruins of 'Cassino and should be backed by one and all in every possible way.
