AMERICANS’ ACT IN PACIFIC. FIRES AND EXPLOSIONS CAUSED. (Roc. 12.25.) WASHINGTON, M!ar. 23. Japanese bases in the Carolines and Marshalls were again attacked by American bombers of the Pacific Fleet. A communique reports the bombing of Ponape and Kusaie (Carolines) on Tuesday, when large fires in warehouses and barracks 1 were seen, hour enemy-held atolls in the Marshalls were bombed and an ammunition dump was observed exploding on one v atoll, while fires and explosions veie seen on the other. the planes returned.
