Acting-Squadron-Leader Walter Desmond Heapliy, R.A.F. Father, Mr P. C. Heapliy, Greyinouth. Acting-Squadron Leader Roy Alexander Leslie, R.A.F. Mother, Mrs M. R. Leslie, Waitara. Warrant Officer Howard William Player, R.N.Z.A.F. Wife, Mrs H. W. Player, Wellington. Acting-Squadron * Leader Maurice Craig Kinder, R.A.F. Mother, Mrs H. M. Kinder, Auckland. The following are listed as having received commendations for their services:— Flight-Lieutenant Charles William Halliwell Thomson, R.A.F. Father, Mr P. Thomson, Stratford. Flying Officer Wallace Russel King, R.N.Z.A.F. Father, Mr J. King, Te Kuiti. Flying Officer Hilton James Valentine Atkins, R.N.Z.A.F. Sister, Mrs G. J. Barbour, Timaru.
