MR CHURCHILL.

TEMPERATURE NOW NORMAL.

THE PNEUMONIA DISAPPEARING.

(Rec. 1 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 19. The latest bulletin about Mr Churchill says tjiat his temperature is normal and' that the signs of pneumonia are disappearing.—British Official Wireless. A bulletin issued from No. 10 Downing Street yesterday stated: “There has been some irregularity of the pulse, but the temperature is subsiding and the pneumonia is resolving.” “To-day’s bulletin,” says the Press Association’s medical adviser, “indicates that the crisis of Mr Churchill’s pneumonia lias .passed and the condition is clearing up. The irregularity

of the pulse, however, seems to indicate that the illness has thrown some strain on his heart. On the whole, Mr Churchill must still be regarded as seriously ill.” A bulletin issued from 10 Downing Street at 2.45 p.m. yesterday stated: “There has been no spread in the pneumonia, and the improvement in tfie Prime Minister’s general condition has been maintained.” Mr Churchill’s progress' is such that he has been able to see a few official documents, states the political correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph.” Private news reaching Downing Street showed that he is in good spirits. The doctors are rationing the number of papers he can see, and are taking care that he does not exert himself. Mrs Churchill is now with the Prime Minister after a journey by air from London.
