MECHANICAL TOYS.
STOLEN PLANE PARTS. George Wynn, aged 61, licensee of the King Henry VIII Inn, at Hemel Hempstead, was accused at Watford Police Court of receiving aircraft parts and materials to the value of £766. Mr R. E. Seaton, prosecuting, said Wynn was employed as a carpenter by Fairfield Aviation, Ltd. When investigators went to his home the> found the articles in a workshop. It took two lorry journeys, to bring them away. “It appears,” said Mr Seaton, that the material, which would be unobtainable by the ordinary person, was being used to make toys. “Another man was paid a commission of 25 per cent, on each toy he was able to sell.” After evidence for the prosecution had been given, lasting four hours, Wynn w'as sent for trial at the next Hertfordshire Quarter Sessions. He pleaded not guilty and reserved his defence. He was allowed bail on his own recognisance of £IOO.
