CONDITIONS OVERCAST TO-DAY.
The sky at Ashburton to-day was dull and overcast, rain threatening. The atmosphere was very chilly. Maximum and minimum temperatures yesterday were 67.4 and 42 degrees, compared with 58.8 and 35. C on Sunday. The barometer reading to-day is 29.88 inches, against 29.92 yesterday. TO-DAY’S FORECAST, (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows: — Moderate south-westerly winds predominating. Cloudy and cool with scattered mist and rain. Further outlook: Improving from the south.
