VALEDICTORY GIFTS.

On account of his early removal from the district to reside in Christchurch, for health reasons, Mr G. A. Franks wtas met by members of tlie Methven Gun Club and friends and presented with a cheque. The president of the club (Mr L. C. Anderson) in making the presentation said tire club was unfortunate in losing such a keen shooter and one who had served in every capacity up to the president’s chair with distinction. They all wished him well in his new sphere and return to normal health.
