The British Medical Association is advising its members throughout New Zealand to give medical certificates for cream or for extra butter only to those patients who are suffering from diabetes or to cases of active tuberculosis, nursing mothers who require supplementary rations, and aged people and patients convalescing froih prolonged illness, and then only where there is a definite shortage of butter and eggs. This advice is in conformty with medical certification in Britain.
