DISTILLERY TO CLOSE.
NEW YORK, November 15. The American Distilling Company has announced that its entire stock of 245,000 barrels of whisky, equalling 45,000,000 bottles, will be sold to shareholders on a pro rata basis, at cost. An official said that the present demands were so great that the company was making more enemies than friends, so the directors had decided to allot the whisky to shareholders and retire from the whisky business.
