ASHBURTON CLUB OPENS SEASON. The Ashburton Tennis Club’s season was officially opened on Saturday by the president (Dr. W. R. Rvburn) when there were more than 70 people present. Dr. Ryburn wished the club a successful season. - * Friendly games were played.' THE MAYFIELD CLUB. The annual meeting of the Mayfield Tennis Club was held on Saturday evening, when the president (Mr Joseph Murdoch.) presided over a good attendance. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £l9 10s. It was left to the committee to decide on the opening day. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr R.
