A record in Canadian shipbuilding was set up at a Canadian port when the 10,000-ton cargo ship “Fort Carillon” was launched fully equipped and with steam up. Guns had been mounted on the vessel’s deck and she was ready down to the last detail for her test run. The shipbuilders said it was the first time a. fully-equipped ship had been launched from a Canadian shipyard, and that it might be an Empire record-
