NONAGENARIAN DEAD.
Mr H. R. Houston, of Cox Street, Ashburton, has received news of the death, in June, of his sister-in-law, Mrs Janet Mlathewson, of Kinross, Scotland, within a month of being 96. Mrs Matliewson was stated to be the oldest person in the borough, if not in the county. It is recorded that she celebrated her 90th year by leading the Grand March at the Kinross oldfashioned dance.
