POLITICAL VIEWS.
PROPAGANDA AMONG TROOPS. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government is considering the whole matter of placing the political views of all parties fully before the troops overseas, said the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. Peter Fraser) in the House of Representatives this morning, replying to an urgent question by Mr H. Atmore on behalf of himself, and the member for Napier. The question was to what extent the literature of Independents, as well as that of party candidates, could be made available for the information of the Armed Forces, overseas before polling day. Mr Fraser said he had already consulted the Leader of the Opposition on the matter. There were many difficulties, and all parties must be prepared to bow to those difficulties equally. No doubt use could be made of the “N.Z.E.F. Times,” in the Middle. East, and also the N.Z.E.F. paper in the Pacific to publish views of the respective parties, also of Independents. He would be prepared to discus-s with all sections the fairest means of doing*the job, and would be glad to have their help. The Prime Minister mentioned that there were New Zealanders on active service all over the world to he catered for and the electoral officers were anxious to meet the situation.
