FERTILISER SUPPLIES.
IN TIME FOR WHEAT SOWING. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Everything possible is being done, says the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon. J. G. Barclay) to ensure that fertiliser companies, shall deliver supplies in sufficient time to eliminate any delay in the sowing of wheat. In forwarding this information to the North Canterbury executive of the Farmers Union, which received it yesterday, the Minister said that instructions were recently issued to the companies indicating that orders for superphosphate for wheatgrowing were to he given priority.
“I am informed that the recent temporary delay in delivery, which was unavoidable, is unlikely to recur, he added.
