NATIONAL COMMITTEE MEETS. (N.Z. Pres 9 Association —Copyright.} (Rec. 10.50 a.m.) LONDON, July 8. The first meeting of the National Negotiating Committee of the coalmining industry was held in London to-day. The Minister of Fuel and Power (Major Gwilym Lloyd George) described the meetings as “a landmark in the history of the coalmining industry,” and sent his best wishes for the permanent success of the new conciliation machinery.
