ARMED FORCES BOARD.
MORE DECISIONS ANNOUNCED. The No. 10A. Armed Forces Appeal Board sat at the Ashburton Courthouse yesterday, to hear appeals for and by reservists against service with the forces. The board comprised Messrs K. Mackenzie (chairman), 11. Ba;dham and S. Osborne, -with R. S. Gillies as secretary and Crown representative. Results of appeals decided after the “Guardian’’ went to press were:
G. L. Brown for Alexander Middleton, farm worker, Mayfield, -Adjourned sine die. Owen R. Blaekler, farmer.—Adjourned sine die. Midland Dairy Company for Richard J. Preston, factory manager.—Adjourned sine die. G. J. Giddings for Francis F. Walls, farm manager, Longbeach. —Leave to be extended and reviewed on January 1, 1943. * Canterbury Frozen Meat Company for Roy F. Cornelius, assistant drafter. —To serve in New Zealand from July to October inclusive of each year. R. E. Hampton for L. R. Hampton, farm hand.—To train for overseas service after March 31, 1943. W. J. Dwyer for Maurice P. Dwyer, farmer, —Dismissed. J. R. Grigg for Alan' A. Grigg, farm hand. —To serve in New Zealand from March to May inclusive of each year.
